The Parking Spot plugin created by Rick Wilson with Smustard.com is a tool to create parking spots automatically. When working with buildings there is a lot of work involved to get the model looking good. But you do not want to spend hours just working on those parking spots, measuring calculating then repeat for all locations, what a drag. And not to mention making angled parking spots, forget it.

This plugin works great to make those spots effortlessly and easily. A simple settings menu comes up and gives you the ability to enter the space distances, depth and angle. The great thing about it is that if you don’t have a space area that fits spots perfectly, this plugin will adjust for that and still make the spaces out evenly with the width being at a minimum of what you enter. The drawback of this plugin is that the lines come as a simple line, adding the stroke or width of the paint on the lines are a matter of playing with styles and options. But personally, I like to just draw out the actual border of the lines, so when it comes to rendering you can see them as if they were painted on the concrete.

Overall, the Parking Spot plugin by Smustard.com is a great tool to have to make the process of designing much quicker. At the time of this review this plugin is free and is available at Smustard.com. I give this plugin 4 out 5 stars.
